Villa San Vigilio

In 1538 the humanist Agostino Brenzoni acquired the promontory of Punta San Vigilio, envisioning it as an ideal retreat in which to cultivate the ideals of Humanism.
There he created a symbolic garden, rich in references to the classical world and animated by statues, inscriptions and contemplative vistas: a small universe devoted to beauty, memory and the harmony between man and nature.
Today Punta San Vigilio is recognised as a national monument and has been in the care of the Guarienti di Brenzone family for over five centuries.
On a few days each year its gates open to the public, hosting exclusive events that allow this timeless place to be experienced in its most authentic form.
